We stayed here in July 2025 and it was exactly what we were looking for! A beautiful traditional-style hotel with great taste and attention to detail. The view from our room—overlooking the mountains and forest—was stunning. It’s right next to the starting point of the Tiger’s Nest trail, with a green area and easy access to the forest, which was perfect for us as we wanted to enjoy the outdoors with our baby. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Honestly, it ticked all the boxes. Special mention to the set menus—we tried the traditional Bhutanese set and absolutely loved it. A must-try if you're after a fine dining experience with local flavours!

The rooms were not upto the mark… although the property was renovated they still seem old. There was flies everywhere in our room and dinning room. No hot water, even sometimes NO WATER. No AC, No Fan. Wifi was very slow. The location was far away from the city center and nothing available in the vicinity. The food quality was very poor. Before you booked, check at least three times. Should not pay in advance!

It’s one of the nicest places that we stayed at while in Bhutan. The staff was extremely cheerful and Sonam gave us great recommendations for our Bhutan trip. He was also extremely helpful in arranging a cake for us at the last minute. Would recommend this place to anyone coming to Bhutan and planning to hike to the Tiger’s nest monastery.

I hosted a soul yoga retreat here, and from the moment we arrived, we felt it… this deep, calming energy that holds you. There’s something incredibly powerful about waking up and seeing Tiger’s Nest Monastery right outside your window. It’s like the mountains are whispering, reminding you to breathe deeper, feel more, and return to yourself. The architecture is stunning; traditional yet cosy, grounding yet full of light. The whole space invites stillness. Whether you’re meditating, journaling, or just sitting with a cup of tea, you feel connected to the land, to the moment, and yourself. And then there’s Sonam and his team. I’ve never felt so cared for. They didn’t just welcome us, they embraced us. Every meal was made with love, every detail felt intentional, and every smile was genuine. This isn’t just a hotel. It’s a soul space - a place for healing, for reconnecting, for remembering what matters. I left a piece of my heart there… and took with me something even deeper.

It was a wonderful experience all together! The staffs were extremely well behaved as they are trained be the best! The location is wonderful and food is finger licking good! Rooms were great! The entire vibe of the hotel is amazing! Taktsangri-La screams luxury! The owner himself is a very enthusiastic guy! Thank you so much Sonam and Missy for this wonderful experience! We will definitely be back!✨❤️
